Takeda Italy
Takeda is a research-based global pharmaceutical company. As the largest pharmaceutical company in Japan and one of the global leaders of the industry. The group is represented in Italy by Takeda Italia Farmaceutici SpA, founded in 1982. Its turnover of over 150 million euro makes it one of the 20 biggest players of the Italian pharmaceutical market.
Since the launch of its first product, DANZEN ® (Serratiopeptidasi), Takeda Italia has had a rapid growth.
In December 1997, Takeda Italia has consolidated its presence in Italy with the acquisition of a manufacturing plant (establishment) at Cerano in the province of Novara, which ensures the production of medicinal products for the Italian market for some European countries and outside Europe.
The research activities of Takeda Italia are performed according to an international development with the aim of improving knowledge and monitoring the use of their medicines.
