Boehringer Ingelheim Italy
Boehringer Ingelheim Group started its activities in Italy in 1972 and is now represented in: Reggello (Florence), Milano, and Fornovo San Giovanni (Bergamo).In 1972 was inaugurated the plant in Reggello (Firenze), while a year later the group acquired an equity interest at the De Angeli (completed in 1991)
The factory in Florence took an ever greater importance over the years until it became in 1995 one of five centers of production of liquid and suppositories tpo be exported worldwide.
In 1981 it opened its plant in Fornovo San Giovanni (Bergamo), the Bidachem SpA for the production of fine chemicals and active ingredients for the pharmaceutical industry.
The group Boehringer Ingelheim Italia employs more than 1,300 people in three offices in Milan, Reggello (Fi) and Fornovo S. Giovanni (Bg).Its turnover in Italy in 2007 was 479 million euros.
