Chiesi SA France responds for 17% of the group's global revenues.

A privately owned pharmaceutical group founded in 1935 in Parma (Italy), Chiesi is now run by Alberto and Paolo CHIESA, respectively CEO and Vice-President in charge of Research and Development. Determined to become a major European player, CHIESI Group has been engaged for several years a policy of growth with the acquisition of subsidiaries, strengthening its product portfolio and significant resources dedicated to Research and Development.

The group has also developed relationships with numerous academic institutions around the world and a network of biotechnology firms able to provide the complementary expertise essential to international competitiveness. Chiesi SA France ended 2008 with growth of approximately 16% and a turnover of over 105.5 million Euros. (2007 generates 17% of the total turnover of the group. € 91,3 millions after growing 4,8%) France is Chiesi's second-highest sales market after Italy and represents ~25% of international group sales. The group has operated in France since 1992 through subsidiary Promedica, which is acquired fully in 1999.
