MABIC is a not-for-profit, local node of a global network, with sister offices across all continents. MABIC's parent institute is International Service for the Acquisition of Agri-biotech Applications (ISAAA). The aime of the Information Centre is to generate and foster closer relations amongst various stakeholders in order to enhance the exchange of information and knowledge these groups. MABIC strives to provide a platform where important issues in biotechnology can be explored and discussed.

Seminars, workshops and public forum are organised in collaboration with interested parties to create public awareness and to inform stakeholders of the current issues in biotechnology. MABIC also facilitates dialogues between stakeholder groups encouraging broad perspective discussions on various biotech topics.
