Currently, AstraZeneca has more than 1,200 employees in Brazil. The headquarters and factory are located in the municipality of Cotia, where they occupy an area of approximately 60 000 sqaure metres. There are different dosage forms, such as uncoated tablets, liquids, creams and ointments. The production capacity, according to the mix of products used in the last year, is 38 million units. AstraZeneca in Brazil was voted the best national pharmaceutical company according to the annual Best and Biggest awards from the magazine Exame, considered the most important public recognition of the various business sectors.
