Teva Italy

Teva entered Italy in 1991 when the group acquired Prosintex Spa, a company working in the API sector. Teva Pharma Italy, dedicated to generics, was created 5 years later. In these early years Teva focuses on the development of generic cancer dedicati hospital.
In 2002, Teva changed its organization. Nascono Division Hospital for the hospital sector and Generics for generic drugs available to the public.
In 2004 Teva acquired Dorom, consolidating
its position as market leader in the production and marketing of generic drugs.

Teva is engaged in both the development of new molecules in the central nervous system and auto-immune diseases.

Today, Teva has about 200 employees in the country. And achieved the following results:
2002: 31 molecules and 50 formulations
2003: 37 molecules and 63 formulations
2004: 58 molecules and 128 formulations

In 2004 its turnover had doubled since 2003, reaching 47.7 million. Hence consolidating its top position in the market for generic drugs with a market share of 19.3%.
Teva Italy, in 2005, forecasted further growth in turnover of 70%, mainly through the launch of 15 new products.
