IGES Institut GmbH

IGES It was founded in 1980 as a company for research and development in health-related matters; it also offers consultancy services. Its predecessor was the Berlin working group for structural research in health-related matters - Berliner Arbeitsgruppe Strukturforschung im Gesundheitswesen (BASiG) - an institution of the Berlin Technical University. Today it is Germany's largest private R&D institute for health and healthcare.

IGES carries out research on an extensive range of problems related to health and healthcare with the objective of developing high quality standards. Our objective is to find the right answer to the questions we are asked. The procedures, methods and instruments developed by IGES always take into account the rapidly changing economic, legal, organizational and technical factors affecting work in our field.
IGES is also a consultancy company. Anyone involved in health-related matters occasionally has questions as to how to best position oneself within the current and future framework of health and healthcare systems. IGES uses its extensive knowledge base to provide answers to these questions.
