Astellas is one of the top 20 pharmaceutical companies in the world, employing 14,000 people globally. As a young and forward-thinking company, Astellas is dedicated to improving the lives of people around the world through the introduction of innovative and reliable pharmaceutical products.

Astellas Pharma Sp. z o.o. was registered in August 2005 after the merger of the mother companies Yamanouchi and Fujisawa. Its predecessor, Yamanouchi Pharma Sp. z o.o., began its operation in 1999. Fujisawa Branch Office was opened in 2000 operating in the transplantation area. The company history on the Polish market dates back to 1978.
Currently, Astellas in Poland employs approximately 160 people, with about 100 field-force employees. The office is located in Warsaw. Astellas is particularly active in urology, dermatology, transplantation, anti-infectives and antibiotics.
