Germany plans to offer swine flu vaccine to 22.5 million citizens, slightly less than a quarter of the population, the Die Welt reported, citing the Health Ministry.The vaccine, costing about 9 euros ($12.71) per treatment or 600 million euros in total, will be distributed to people including healthcare workers, police and those with chronic ailments, the paper said.
Germany’s compulsory health insurance programs will bear the costs of the immunization and inform people eligible for the shots, Welt said.
