Lloyd Laboratories opening a state of the art dry powder inhaler facility in the Philippines, Lloyd Laboratories

The facility will be the first one in the region to supply the technology.

Lloyd Laboratories has recently constructed a state of the art dry powder inhaler facility that will pass regulatory requirements set forth by both developed and pharmerging markets.

We are looking at this investment as a source of our market expansion and collaboration for both domestic markets and export markets for the next 5 years.

The Dry Powder Facility will be the first in the region to supply such technology products. It was designed to meet global standards for inhalation medicine.

The Facility took 2 years to construct and this year 2010 we will be able to offer the product domestically in the Philippines.

Presently it has the capability of manufacturing for several mono dose and fixed dose combination that is mainly used to treat asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Research and development are ongoing for developing other innovative inhaler products focused on treating other ailments like severe pain and diabetes.

We are looking at out-licensing opportunities for strong players who has developed franchise in the Pulmonary Market in countries where we still do not have an exclusive partner.
