Personal and health care manufacturer Splash Corporation set up a new subsidiary in Vietnam

MANILA, Philippines—Personal care product manufacturer Splash Corp. has obtained a foothold in Vietnam as part of its overseas expansion program.

Splash announced yesterday that it had set up a new subsidiary in Vietnam and likewise entered into a distribution deal with a local partner, TKM Group, to boost its presence in this emerging market.

Under the agreement, TKM became the exclusive distribution partner of the company’s products in Ho Chin Minh City.

The agreement involves the debut of Splash’s four brands in Vietnam, namely SkinWhite (skin whitening line), Maxi-Peel (skin exfoliant line), Hygienix (skin germ protection line) and Vitress (specialized hair solutions line).

“The agreement marks a major milestone in Splash’s continued domestic success and international expansion. From a company that started with $300, we now officially established our presence in Vietnam through a representative office. It is with pride and great excitement that we finally bring our world class products within reach of our Vietnamese consumers,” Splash president Eric Domagas said.

The establishment of Vietnam subsidiary called Splash Vietnam, on the other hand, is seen giving the local company more control in distribution, product registration and marketing of its products.

Its partner TKM Group is a group of companies involved in the importation, trade and distribution of food, beverage, alcohol, perfume and cosmetics into Vietnam.

Established in 2005, TKM Group is composed of Thien Kim (domestic food and distribution company), Toan Phuc Companies (duty free business), TKM Group Singapore (international sourcing and logistics arm) and We are Beauty (WAB), which brings cosmetics and fashion brands to Vietnam.
